Fundraisers for foodbank take on the zipwire

We’re on the lookout for volunteers – could you help us?

CalendarPosted on 10th November 2021

Volunteers quite literally keep the wheels of our foodbank turning.

As a non-profit charity, part of The Trussell Trust’s UK-wide foodbank network, Widnes Foodbank relies on the goodwill support from volunteers to operate our frontline operation.

From warehouse sorters to foodbank centre greeters – there’s something for everyone. Due to an increase in demand we are currently facing we are on the lookout for volunteers in a few different areas:

  • IT Volunteer
  • Digital Marketing Volunteer
  • Volunteer Driver
  • Foodbank Centre Volunteer
  • Warehouse Volunteer

There are many benefits to volunteering including the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and make real change in the community doing what you love.

We are taking many precautions to keep all our volunteers safe during the Coronavirus pandemic including the continuation of social distancing and the wearing of face coverings.

If you’d like to learn more about our current volunteering opportunities please see the dedicated opportunities page of our website. If you find any roles you would like to help with simply complete our online application form and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
