A very generous donation of brownies at Widnes Foodbank this week has helped to spread love across the town.
Dawn Foods donated 6,120 brownies to our foodbank earlier this week. However, as the brownies were originally frozen, this posed a logistical issue to avoid food waste.
In these uncertain times, we took the decision to donate our brownies to various local groups, schools, charities, and businesses. Foodbank clients and volunteers also received brownies.
Widnes Police, Widnes Fire Station, Local NHS groups, Brennan Lodge, cancer patients, and Fairfield Primary School, were amongst some of the recipients of brownie love this week.
All donations have brought smiles to faces, and helped to lift the spirits of those in our community as we continue through difficult times.
